Sunday Roll on Capital Crescent. We are batting 50% for the season. Let's hope the last ride of the season gets us over the 500 mark. No go in rain, sleet, snow, black ice or wet roads. Brave souls will warm up with Gumbo, Jambalaya or Shrimp Creole after the ride at Louisiana Express. Larry Bouterie [yatnola@yahoo.com] cell 301/346-1243 on day of ride.

March 13 Saturday

ALL * 25 * DC *11AM *Pierce Mill
Beach to Creek.  A nice in-town ride with an emphasis on natural scenery.  We’ll ride up Beach Drive, through some nice neighborhoods with some long hills, and down Sligo Creek Parkway. This ride invites ALL pace levels, in the hope that everyone will find someone to ride with.  The ride leader’s pace is C or CC; cue sheets, maps, and a growing cadre of regulars will help those who are faster or slower.  There will be no sweep. We’ll stop at the Takoma Park Co-Op for a quick bite.  [Meet in Rock Creek Park at the corner of Park Road/Tilden & Rock Creek Parkway; at the north parking lot.]  Barbara McCann 202/234-2059.

March 14 Sunday

CC * 40/45/30 * MD * 11 AM * Sherwood ES (SES) * 38°
March madness.  All rides from SES are somewhat hilly but we'll  keep it real for the season. The route will be online at http://goldray.com/bikerides. If the weather is warm, in the 50's, we'll do the longer route with a rest stop; if not we'll have the shorter route but probably with no stop. In any case, we daringly invite one and all to our nearby house after the ride so bring hot tub garb for an indescribably delightful dip w/hot chocolate and cookies. PLAN ON IT!! (if temps are borderline but day is sunny and windless we will ride - call if questionable) Cell for day of ride: 202/997-2378. Harold Goldstein and Janet Young [mdbiker@goldray.com] 301/854-0388.
